LAHORE - The overseer Punjab government has assigned Rs3.2 billion to cover new vehicles for every single associate magistrate, extra agent chief, and extra official.

The choice comes as the South Asian nation is reeling under a monetary emergency that agreed with soaring expansion. To avoid default, the cash-strapped nation recently secured a $3 billion IMF loan.

According to reports, the provincial finance department has approved the allocation of funds to purchase officers' vehicles.

According to the 20-July notification, additional deputy commissioners (General) will receive 1300cc vehicles and each assistant commissioner will receive a double-cabin manual transmission vehicle. Each division's additional commissioners will receive 1600cc vehicles.

It further expresses that the vehicle right now being utilized by associate officials will be distributed to tehsildars.
