On the 10th of Muharram, Saturday, Ashura Day was observed across the country amid tight security to pay homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and other martyrs of Karbala.

This day marks the unwavering prowess of the grandson of the Holy Prophet, Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), his family, and his companions who fought to uphold Islam amid resistance and brutality.

In this regard, mourning processions were taken out in all the cities and towns of the country.

Scholars and dhikreen presented different parts of Karbala in their lessons. Elaborate security game plans have been put in place across the country to avoid any untoward incidents during the parade and for the well-being of the mourners.

Meanwhile, versatile signs remain closed in a few urban communities following internal service headlines to Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) seeking suspension of portable administration on 9th and 10th Muharram as well as 11th.
